Develop and execute a strategic vision for the group’s financial function and aimed at facilitating management efforts to ensure vitality and growth, including building unrestricted cash reserves that allow for strategic flexibility.
Continually evaluate the group’s financial condition and make recommendations to overcome business challenges and optimizing opportunities.
Present management and the Board of Directors with analytical reports and forecasts that support strategic decision-making.
Effectively manage finance functions including the accounting, budgeting and forecasting, treasury management, working capital management and external audits.
Evaluate current policies and procedures relating to financial management and make any improvements necessary to increase the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
Lead an organization-wide process to produce an annual operating budget that reflects the organization’s goals and fiscal realities.
Assess project budgets prepared by senior staff and oversee the preparation of other financial material for proposals to be submitted to customers and potential investors.
Oversee the production and analysis of monthly financial reports that are timely, accurate, and understandable for senior management and the Board
Oversee the preparation of all reports, schedules, and other documents to support the annual audit.
Ensure an internal control environment to detect and prevent fraud and to protect organization resources and assets.
Identify risks and address minimizing those risks through sound financial management.
Ensure the organization is protected with appropriate insurance policies and risk management procedures.
Ensure compliance with all applicable local reporting standards and Inland Revenue laws.
Fully qualified in Chartered Accountancy Sri Lanka, or CIMA
